Sael is the nearer of Lytherra's twin moons. It cycles once every 19 days, bringing tenderness, renewal, and the first gentle motions of change to the minds of the people in the Gold Light.سايل هو القمر الأقرب من قمري ليثيرّا التوأمين. يكمل دورته كل تسعة عشر يوماً، ويجلب الرقة والتجدد وأولى حركات التغيير اللطيفة إلى عقول أهل النور الذهبي.

Sael is the nearer of the two moons, and the faster. Every nineteen days it completes its cycle, and the people of the Gold Light measure their small renewals against it. When Sael is overhead the ordinary turns liminal. A street, a convenience store, a face you have seen a thousand times reads differently, softened, opened, briefly available to change.

What Sael governs is the first motion, not the finished form. It is the moon of tenderness and of beginnings that have not yet hardened into commitments. The Canticle of Sael and Vaelor names it as one half of the dual architecture of becoming: emotion to Vaelor’s memory, renewal to Vaelor’s discipline. Alone, Sael would be only feeling without consequence. It is never alone.

سايل هو الأقرب من القمرين، وهو الأسرع. كل تسعة عشر يوماً يكمل دورته، وأهل النور الذهبي يقيسون تجدداتهم الصغيرة عليه. حين يكون سايل في كبد السماء، يتحول العادي إلى شيء بَيْنِيّ. شارع، أو متجر صغير، أو وجه رأيته ألف مرة، يبدو مختلفاً، ألطف، أكثر انفتاحاً، ومتاحاً للتغيير لبرهة قصيرة. ما يحكمه سايل هو الحركة الأولى، لا الشكل المكتمل. هو قمر الرقة والبدايات التي لم تتصلّب بعد إلى التزامات. تسميه ترنيمة سايل وڤايلور نصفاً من البناء المزدوج للتكوّن: العاطفة لذاكرة ڤايلور، والتجدد لانضباط ڤايلور. لو بقي سايل وحده، لكان مجرد شعور بلا أثر. لكنه لا يكون وحده أبداً.
